About Us
Hoopa Development Fund is comprised of two divisions; The Credit Division and the EDA Loan Fund Division. We are a certified CDFI Lending Institution and are a last resort lender. Therefore, criteria for loan approval through Hoopa Development Fund differs from conservative lending institutions.
The Credit Division
The Credit Division lends to Hoopa Tribal Members who meet the criteria set forth in our Policies & Procedures. The loans funded through this division are individual loans. The Hoopa Development Fund Committee reviews applications to determine eligibility, and has approval authority for lending.

The EDA Division
The EDA Loan Fund Division lends to Community Members of the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation for businesses located on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation. Lending approval depends heavily on submitted business plans, available collateral, and business type. The Hoopa Development Fund Committee reviews applications to determine eligibility, and has approval authority for lending.

The Hoopa Development Fund Committee
The HDF Committee regularly meets for loan approvals on the first Tuesday of each month. Special Loan Meetings may be called in the event of an urgent matters or there are enough loans to warrant them.
